Connectivity issues from Microsoft Edge

In one of their latest upgrade, Microsoft Edge has introduced their very own VPN, which could cause connectivity issue with our ZeroVPN.

To fix this problem you need to check first that the EdgeVPN is enabled, to do so you need to click on heart shaped button in the top right area of your Edge browser:

By clicking on it a side windows will appear, scroll to the end of the window until the VPN section appear, it'll look like the following image:

If it's already disabled like in the photo, you're fine for this step, otherwise click on the toggle aside VPN and disable it.

To avoid to incur in the same problem after your next edge update, we also have to disable the "Microsoft Edge Tracking Prevention" setting in the Edge browser, to do so follow those steps:

  • Open the Edge settings
  • Go to Settings > Privacy, search, and services.
  • Turn off Microsoft Edge Tracking Prevention

If you've followed those steps correctly now you should be able to reach the desired endpoint also from Edge browser using ZeroVPN without any connectivity issue!
